My journey in health began with 5 years of medical school in Cuba, where I was training to become a Doctor. However, life took me in a different direction, leading me back home to work in the fields of oncology pharmaceuticals, marketing, and telemedicine.
These diverse experiences gave me valuable insights into the complexities of chronic illness and the crucial role of preventive care.
Growing up in a family of Medical Doctors, I was exposed to both conventional and holistic approaches to health. My father, a respected doctor and public health educator, instilled in me the importance of science and evidence based medicine, while my mother’s holistic practices taught me the value of lifestyle and alternative approaches. Together, they shaped my understanding of health as a balance between science and lifestyle. This unique upbringing allows me to offer a distinctive perspective in my coaching practice, blending the best of both worlds to help you achieve your wellness goals through a balanced, integrative approach.
As I transitioned from my 30s to my 40s, I faced new challenges in maintaining my health and physical fitness. What worked in my 30s no longer delivered the same results in my 40s, leading me to explore a deeper understanding of my body at a hormonal level. I realized that staying healthy and vibrant requires adapting to our body’s natural changes, especially as we age. This experience now informs my work, as I help clients navigate their own transitions with strategies tailored to address hormonal shifts and other age-related changes.
